1. What motivated you to take part in the Hosted Buyer Programme at IRX this year?
Attending The International Running Expo as part of the Hosted Buyer Programme is a great opportunity to meet a wide range of relevant brands all in one place, and to explore potential new partnerships.
2. What are you most looking forward to about attending IRX?
I’m looking forward to discovering new opportunities, connecting with innovative brands, and exploring how we can enhance our running offer through new collaborations.
3. Are there any specific brands, technologies, or trends you’re hoping to explore while at IRX?
By attending IRX, I’m particularly interested in meeting with brands offering performance footwear, emerging tech and any up-and-coming brands that are gaining traction across Europe.
4. How important is in-person networking and product discovery for you in today’s buying process?
In-person interactions remain incredibly valuable, they allow for deeper conversations, the chance to physically assess products, and help build trust-based relationships that digital channels can’t always replicate. This is why tradeshows like IRX are a fundamental part of our buying process.
5. If there’s one thing you hope to take away from your time at IRX, what would it be?
Ideally, I’d like to leave IRX with a shortlist of promising new contacts and leads that could evolve into strong commercial relationships over the coming year for Decathlon.
If you’re a retailer on the hunt for new innovative products to stock in your store, then join Oliver at The International Running Expo on 4-5 November to meet with 300+ brands and trial and test over 5,000 products.
