Ahead of IRX, we take a deeper dive into exhibitors True Motion with top 10 things you can learn before engaging with them at the Expo.
1. True Motion are a German company developing revolutionary running shoes, for everyone. They are challenging the current running shoe market.
2. True Motion was founded in 2018 by experienced industry professionals Prof. Dr. Gert-Peter Brüggemann, Andre Kriwet and Christian Arens. They are harnessing over 25 years of joint development responsibility and ‘turned their backs on the mainstream industry’ to form True Motion.
3. They believe that runners are no longer the focus of running shoe development, and want to change that, by putting the runner back at the centre.
4. U-TECH™ technology is used in True Motion soles – a new, revolutionary running shoe technology that lets runners run as intended by nature. Developed after more than 25 years of running shoe research.
5. Their manifest is to do three important things, unlike anyone else:
– The runner and their perfect running experience are the unnegotiable focus of our entire business activity.
– We use our scientific expertise and developmental production experience exclusively to achieve real functional benefits and not to reduce costs and optimize margins.
– We address the biomechanical system of the human body and declare the symptom-driven categorizing of runner types and shoe formulas obsolete.
6. True Motion will be showcasing their new shoe ‘Solo 2’ at the International Running Expo, due to be launched in October.
7. Renowned biomechanics Professor and one of the founders of True Motion, Peter Brügemann will be at IRX to help visitors understand and experience U-Tech injury-free running. Experiencing the force, with the help of a measuring plate. There will be an opportunity to test current shoe styles and preview upcoming ones.
8. They have an exclusive collaboration with Falke Sports. FALKE X True Motion collection of socks -both brands are engineered in Germany, and the innovative sock/shoe system provides significantly increased comfort and stability.
9. Sustainability conscious. True Motion deliberately refrain from releasing new models every season, instead, relying on the use of high-quality materials to ensure a long lifecycle for products, which is at least two years. They are continuously looking for new and innovative solutions to make their manufacturing process more sustainable, focusing on the use of recycled and recyclable materials. They save material and ensure the most sustainable packaging possible for shoes, deliberately refraining from using stuffing paper inside when shipping.
10. True Motion shoes are tried and tested by athletes such as British long-distance runner, duathlete and triathlete Kathy Stringer, who credits the U-Tech technology for helping keep her injury-free.
